Any Consumers Energy electric customer can recycle their appliance. Appliances must be empty and in working order.

Appliance Eligibility
Refrigerators & Freezers Eligible for $50 Rebate
- Must be a Consumers Energy electric customer
- Appliance must be empty and working
- Must have an easy and clear path for us to pick up your appliance
- Fridge or freezer should be between 10-30 cubic feet
Small Appliances Eligible for $15 Rebate
- Must be a room AC, dehumidifier, small fridge or freezer (less than 10 cubic feet)
- Must be empty and working
- Be ready for pick-up at the same time as a large fridge or freezer OR
- You can recycle items at small-appliance drop-off events

Recycle Small Appliances
Visit a drop-off event to recycle your small appliances. Here’s how it works:
- Schedule an appointment by calling 800-977-4995. All events begin at 9 a.m.
- Earn a $50 cash rebate for fridges/freezers; $15 for AC units/dehumidifiers/compact fridges/compact freezers.
- At most events we partner with Habitat for Humanity ReStores. See below for more information.
